Privacy policy
Last updated 24 October 2026
This policy explains how HamroLabs (“we”, “us”) handles personal information on hamrolabs.app. We follow the Individual Privacy Act, 2075 (2018) of Nepal and its regulations: we collect personal information only with your consent, only for a stated purpose, and we never sell it.
Who is responsible
HamroLabs is responsible for the personal information described here. For any privacy question or request, email hamrolabs@gmail.com.
What we collect and why
- When you contact us: the name, email address, subject and message you send through the contact form or by email. We use them only to read and reply to your message.
- When you visit the site: our hosting provider automatically records technical details such as your IP address, browser and the pages requested. These are used only to keep the site secure and working.
- How the site is used: aggregate statistics, such as which pages are visited and roughly where visitors come from, collected with Google Analytics (see below).
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. It sets cookies in your browser and records details such as the pages you view, your device and browser, and your approximate location. We do not use it to identify you.
- Advertising features and Google signals are turned off, so this data is not used for ads.
- If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, Google Analytics does not load at all.
- You can also block it with your browser’s cookie settings or Google’s opt-out add-on.
Your consent
By sending us a message you consent to us collecting and using your information for the purpose above. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing hamrolabs@gmail.com; we will then delete your message unless the law requires us to keep it.
Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share it only:
- with service providers that run the site for us, who may use it only to provide that service; or
- when required by the laws of Nepal or an order of a court or authorised government body.
Service providers and transfer outside Nepal
Some of our providers store or process information on servers outside Nepal:
- Vercel hosts the site.
- Resend delivers contact form messages to our inbox.
- Google provides Google Analytics and the email inbox where we receive messages.
We choose providers that protect information with industry standard security.
How long we keep it
We keep contact messages only as long as needed to respond and follow up, and delete them when they are no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. Hosting logs are kept by our provider for a limited period under its own policy.
How we protect it
The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections, and access to messages is limited to the people who need it to reply. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to prevent loss, misuse or unauthorised access.
Your rights
Under the Individual Privacy Act, 2075 you may ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you;
- correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your information, or stop using it, including by withdrawing your consent.
Email hamrolabs@gmail.com with your request. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we aim to respond within 15 days.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 18. If a child has sent us personal information without a parent or guardian’s consent, contact us and we will delete it.
Our products
Each HamroLabs product, such as the Nepal Salary Tax Calculator, describes its own handling of information on its site. This policy covers hamrolabs.app only.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle your information, email hamrolabs@gmail.com and we will look into it promptly. You also have the right to raise a complaint with the relevant authority under the laws of Nepal.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example when we add a feature or the law changes. We will publish the new version here and change the date above.
